The Phi Phi Island in Thailand was our last travel destination during our internship in Singapore. We have heard so much about this paradise on earth, that we decided to see on our own how this one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand looks like.

Day.1 Bangkok - Phuket ( L, D )
09.10 AM. Depart Bangkok by Thai Airlines TG 203 for Phuket southern Thailand.
10.30 AM. Arrive at Phuket Airport meet our guide and transfer to hotel Royal paradise hotel ( Patong Beach ) or other hotel as you like.
13.00 PM. Depart for Phuket sightseeing Tour, and scenic treat of beautiful Phuket lunch in Phuket town. Afterwards we proceed to Khao Rung Hill to catch a scenic view at the hill top, visit Wat Chalong- the most beautiful Buddhist Monastery in Phuket. Stress that this is a living temple, a community in itself, within a community wishes are being answered for good health and luck. Koh Lanta is a long thin island, situated in southeast of Krabi. Part of the island is Koh Lanta National Park which encompasses over 15 islands in the near vicinity. Koh Lanta is a long thin island, situated in southeast of Krabi. Part of the island is Koh Lanta National Park which encompasses over 15 islands in the near vicinity. But many of Koh Lanta lovely bays and beaches are being developed to cater to the tourists dollar. Much of the land being developed is owned by Chao Nam (Sea Gypsies) but some development area seem to be creeping into the National Park. Koh Lanta has a number of villages lining both sides and the town of Ban Saladan to the north is the major arrival and departure point. The nice beaches line on the western coast and they also improve further to the south which is also the nice area you should visit. Koh Lanta is a popular place to visit for those with young families as the sea is relatively calm and he beaches area so long sunsets are stunning all the way down to the west coast. Visit Wat Maha That and its highly revered Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Jinaraj. Drive to Sukhothai, where you will visit the ancient ruins at Sukhothai Historical Park and Wat Sri Chum with it's gigantic Buddha statue. Continue to Sri Satchanalai for lunch at Gaeng Luang Restaurant. Upon arrival in Lampang we will take you on a tour of the old city on horse carriages. Day 3 LAMPANG - PHAYAO - CHIANG RAI (B/L/-)
Drive to Phayao with the biggest natural lake in Thailand. Proceed to Chiang Rai for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Chiang Saen and take a boat ride on the Mekong River towards the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. Continue to Mae Sai, the northernmost city bordering Myanmar. Overnight at Rimkok in Chiang Rai.

Day 4 CHIANG RAI - CHIANG MAI (B/L/-)
Early morning depart for Chiang Mai and visit the local handicraft centers around ChiangMai. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Wat Doi Suthep, a famous landmark of the city, tucked away in the mountains at an elevation of 1,056 meters. WED / MON After Breakfast, depart from Chiang Saen to Mae Sai, the northern-most point of Thailand on the Thai - Burmese border. In the border town of Mae Sai visit a Jade Cutting Factory and the colorful market, where handicrafts and souvenirs are on sale. The next stop will be made at the Fish and Monkey Cave. Proceed to Doi Mae Salong, passing through mountain scenery. The view from the top takes in a large part of Thailand, Burma and the Mekong Valley. Depart from your hotel in Bangkok at 07:00 and drive across the Chao Phraya River to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. The district consists of a large network of canals and women gathered each morning on the 'klongs' (canals) to sell their wares from small hand-rowed boats. Then drive to Nakhon Pathom and visit Phra Pathom Chedi, one of the largest stupas in the world. Continue to Don Wai, a lively morning market along the Ta Chin River, where fresh vegetables, fruit and plants are on sale. Board a wooden barge and cruise along Ta Chin River to the Rose Garden Aprime Resort. Check in at the resort. After lunch at the resort (international buffet), enjoy the presentation of cultural performances at the Rose Garden's Thai Village. Day 3 KANCHANABURI - AYUTtHAYA (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, visit the Burma-Thailand Railway Museum, an interactive information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. After a visit to the war cemetery, continue to the former capital city of Siam, Ayutthaya. Located approximately 80 kilometres north of Bangkok, the ancient city of Ayutthaya is known as the 'Venice of the East', and it lies along the Chao Phraya River, the tributaries of which surround Ayutthaya province. The glory of the Ayutthaya empire (1350-1767 AD) is evident in the remains of temples such as Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Wat Chai Wattanaram, which we will visit in the afternoon. A further visit includes Wat Yai Chai Mongkol. This well-tended temple was founded by King U-Thong in 1357 as a center for monks returning from study in Sri Lanka. The white reclining Buddha near the entrance was built by King Naresuan. The massive pagoda was also built by King Naresuan to celebrate his defeat of the Burmese at Suphanburi in 1593 by killing their crown prince in a single-handed combat on elephants. Day 4 AYUTHAYA - BANG PA IN - BANGKOK (B/-/-)
A 40-minute boat trip on the Chao Phraya River brings you to Bang Pa In, followed by a visit of the Royal Summer Palace. Return to Bangkok by coach and transfer to the airport for your next destination or to your hotel in Bangkok. Arrival in Bangkok at noon.

This four-day trip includes visits to Central Thailand's highlights while also allowing time to explore further. Pick up passengers from various major Bangkok hotels. Depart from Bangkok to Ayuthaya, the former capital of Thailand. The principal sights are Wat Pranangcherng, the three ancient pagodas at Wat Phra Srisanpetch and the gigantic bronze statues of Wat Mongkol Borpith. Drive to Chainat for lunch at a local restaurant, then continue Khampheng Phet and visit the historical park. Continue to Sukhothai for dinner and overnight at Ananda Museum Gallery Hotel.

Day 2 SUKOTHAI - LAMPANG (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit Sukhothai Historical Park, the Ramkamhaeng Museum and Wat Sri Chum with the gigantic Buddha statue. After lunch at a local restaurant in Sri Satchanalai, continue to Lampang and visit Wat Don Tao, where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined (the same statue now installed in Bangkok), Wat Pa Fang and Wat Si Rong Muang, two Burmese-style temples with exquisite wood carvings.

Short stop at the colorful Tung Kwian Market, where handicrafts, fruit, vegetables, live animals and the famous Lampang Ceramics are on sale, then proceed to Lampoon for a visit to the famous Wat Haripoonchai, one of the most sacred monuments in the north. Continue to Chiang Mai and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the interesting Hill Tribe Museum (closed on Saturdays and Sundays) and see handicraft manufacturing, where the process of making lacquer-ware, spinning and weaving of Thai Silk and painting of paper umbrellas can be observed. After breakfast, depart for Fang and Thatorn. En route, visit to Huay Luek, a Hmong hill-tribe village. After arrival in Thatorn, a small village just a few kilometers away from the Burmese border, lunch is served at Maekok River Village Resort. Depart by long tailed motor boats from Ban Phatai for a three hour journey down the Kok River, passing tiny hill tribe villages consisting of simple bamboo huts among lush vegetation. The Bridge over the River Kwai , Internationally famous, the black iron bridge was brought from Java by the Japanese Army and reassembled under Japanese supervision by Allied prisoners of war labor as part of the “Death Railway” linking Thailand with Myanmar.

Bang Pa-in Palace: Originally, there was a riverine island. When Prasat Thong became the Ayuttaya king (1630-1655), . The palace contains five important buildings as follow;
Phra Thinang Aisawan Thippa-at, Thai design castle pavilion stands in the middle of the lake.
Phra Thinang Warophat Phiman, occupies the original site of the Pavilion built during King Mongkut’s reign. It was two storied. One used as the King’s apartment, the other as a reception hall.
Phra Thinang Uthayan Phumisathian, was almost totally destroyed by fire in 1938. Formerly used as a highwater season residence, only a few bricks remain.
Phra Thinang Wehat Chamrun, is a Chinese-style building where the court generally resided during the rainy and cool seasons.
Phra Thinang Withun Thatsana, is an observatory standing on a small island between Phra Thinang Uthayan and Phra Thinang Wehat Chamrun from which a commanding view of surrounding countryside.
Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, a remarkable building constructed during King Chulalongkorn’s time on the outer is land. The temple was built in Gothic style, resembling a Christian church.

Jim Thompson House is a house belong to the late James H.W. Thompson who came to Thailand as an officer in the US force during World War II. The name Jim Thompson became synonymous with Thai silk. He had arranged for dismantling of ancient teak houses from various place and reassembled on the bank of Sansap Canal in Bangkok. He mysteriously disappeared during a visit to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia in 1967.
Suan Pakkad Palace; used to be the residence of Princess Chumbhotpong Paripatra of Nagor Svarga, one of Thailand’s leading art collector. There is a complex of five traditional Thai House, overlooking a beautifully kept garden. They house a large collection of Asia art and antiques.

Sukhothai Historic Park, Wat Si Chum 1500 metres away houses massive seated Buddha 15 metres high and 11 metres wide. Wat Phra Phai Luang built in 1200 AD, Wat Trapang, Wat Sa Si- built on an island in a lake and Wat Si Sawai where many metal religious objects excavated.

Afternoon, After lunch, the tour continues to Si Satchanalai Historic Park, with many beautiful and ancient temples to see and praise for the wonderful architecture namely Wat Prasirattanamahatat built in 1286AD, Wat Nang Phaya, Wat Chedi Chet Thaew- an imposing collection of chedi of different shape, size and styles. Wat Chang Lom built in 1290 AD, Wat Khao Sawan Kiri built on top of a small hill with imposing statutes of Buddha.

Full Day, After breakfast served in hotel the tour continues by passing the town of PHA-YAO and proceeding to visit the Wat Sirkomkan in the town of Phayao. Situated 2 kilometres North of the Town center on the edge of the lake. This temple houses the largesr Buddha image in the north of Thailand covered in gold leaves and 16 metres high. 200 metres North of the temple is a small museum with weird collection of macabre sculptures depicting hell which teaches mankind to pursue harmful things. Take a look when you join this tour. Proceeding which to Chiang Rai for lunch.

Afternoon,After a buffet lunch serve at the Rim Kok Hotel depart Chiang Rai and heads for Chiangsean,- an ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom. Proceeding to the "Golden Triangle" where the borders of Thailand, Myanmmar, and Laos meet. We continue on to the Northernmost town of Mae Sai a frontier town next to Myammar borders.

DAY 05 CHIANGRAI - BOAT TRIP - ELEPHANT SAFARI - CHIANGRAI (OVERNIGHT)*

Morning, After breakfast (don't stuff yourself )served in hotel, our journey continues with a boat trip down the Mae Kok River from Chiangrai to the Karen Hill Tribe village after which we will proceed an intriguing ride on the back of Elephants through the jungle for about an hour and returning to Chiangrai for lunch by boat.

Afternoon, After lunch our tour continues with stops at various hilltribes villages namely the Muser and Lisu, black Lahu which is undiscovered by tourist. A short stop-over will be made at Wiang Pa Pao Hot Spa - you might want to take a bath in the Sulphur-rich hot water -if time permits.which marks the trip back to Chiangmai, viewing the beautiful scenery along the way.

DAY 2 CHIANGMAI - PAI - LOD CAVE - FISH CAVE (OVERNIGHT)*

Full Day , After breakfast, served in hotel, departs Chiangmai for Mae Hong Son - a west town assessible only since 1991 by bus via Pai - a small pleasant sleepy town owned by the Shan or 'Tai Yai'. The main center of attraction is Lod Cave National Park - one of Asia's largest cave system streching several kilometers underground, where limestone stalactites and stalagmites can be found. Inside this cave some wooden coffins can be found, believed to have left by 'Pea-men' - asked our guides if you wish to see the coffins.
Afternoon, After lunch we continue our tour to Fish (Pla) Cave National Park another tourist spot where giant carps are found and the fishes considered to be 'holy'.

Proceeding from here we bring you on a number of Temple tour (Wat Doi Kong Moo - an impressive Shan temple built on a hilltop in the 1860s, Wat Pranon,Wat Jong Kam Wat Jong klang built adjacent to each other on the south of lake with their pagodas mirrored on the surface of the lake water - a very stunning sight indeed.)

DAY 01 BANGKOK - AYUTTHAYA (OVERNIGHT)

Afternoon,Arrival in Bangkok International Airport Transfer to Ayuthaya (is 76 kilometres north of Bangkok) where we assemble and start this tour by visiting Wat Phra Si Mahatat of Ayuthaya Heritage, The ancient city of Ayutthaya or Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya ,The Thai capital for 417 years , is one of Thailand's major tourist attractions .Many ancient ruins and at works can be seen in a city that was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong when the Thais were forced southwards by northern neighbours.During the period of Ayutthaya being the Thai capital, 33 Kings of different dynasties ruled the kingdom until it was sacked by the burmese in 1767.

Afternoon, after noon Visit Wat Phra Si Mahatat built in the1240 AD . which is the principal shrine of the kingdom which draws thousands of pilgrims to worship. transfer to Pailyn Sukhothai Hotel where you spend the night for your own sight - seeing in the district of Sukhothai. You could visit the bars or even arrange for a Thai Traditional Massagae to help soothe away the ache and the tension after a whole day of travellin.

DAY 05 SUKHOTHAI - SI SATCHANALAI HISTORIC PARK - NAN (OVERNIGHT)*

Morning, After breakfast ( American ) served in hotel the tour continues to visit Sukhothai Historic Park, Wat Si Chum 1500 metres away houses massive seated Buddha 15 metres high and 11 metres wide. Wat Phra Phai Luang built in 1200 AD, Wat Trapang, Wat Sa Si- built on an island in a lake and Wat Si Sawai where many metal religious objects excavated.

Afternoon, After lunch, the tour continues to Si Satchanalai Historic Park, with many beautiful and ancient temples to see and praise for the wonderful architecture namely Wat Prasirattanamahatat built in 1286AD, Wat Nang Phaya, Wat Chedi Chet Thaew- an imposing collection of chedi of different shape, size and styles. Wat Chang Lom built in 1290 AD, Wat Khao Sawan Kiri built on top of a small hill with imposing statutes of Buddha. Evenings, Spend the night in Nan Lodging provided and free time for your own leisure the city of Nan. Sorry Dinner is not provided. Try the local roadside stalls they are much cheaper and delicious. You might want to explore the various nightlife in this city.

DAY 07 NAN - PHA YAO - CHIANGRAI - MAESAI - GOLDEN TRIANGLE - CHIANGSAEN (OVERNIGHT)*

Moring, After breakfast served in hotel the tour continues by passing the town of PHA-YAO and proceeding to visit the Wat Sirkomkam in the town of Phayao. Situated 2 kilometres North of the Town center on the edge of the lake. This temple houses the largesr Buddha image in the north of Thailand covered in gold leaves and 16 metres high. 200 metres North of the temple is a small museum with weird collection of macabre sculptures depicting hell which teaches mankind to pursue harmful things. Take a look when you join this tour. Proceeding which to Chiang Rai for lunch.

Afternoon, After a buffet lunch serve at the Rim Kok Hotel depart Chiang Rai and heads for Chiangsean,- an ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom. DAY 08 CHIANGRAI - BOAT TRIP - ELEPHANT SAFARI - CHIANGRAI (OVERNIGHT)*

Morning, After breakfast (don't stuff yourself )served in hotel, our journey continues with a boat trip down the Mae Kok River from Chiangrai to the Karen Hill Tribe village after which we will proceed an intriguing ride on the back of Elephants through the jungle for about an hour and returning to Chiangrai for lunch by boat.

Afternoon, After lunch our tour continues with stops at various hilltribes villages namely the Muser and Lisu, black Lahu which is undiscovered by tourist. A short stop-over will be made at Wiang Pa Pao Hot Spa - you might want to take a bath in the Sulphur-rich hot water -if time permits.which marks the trip back to Chiangmai, viewing the beautiful scenery along the way.

Return from Doi Suthep.
